Anna Warr is a Sydney-based photographer who specialises in landscape, documentary and travel photography.

A love of the outdoors and a background in social and cultural geography informs Anna's photographic work. Through her visual explorations of the local and the global, Anna creates images of simple elegance that have an immediate impact on their viewer.

Preferring not to interfere with the natural surrounds of her subject, Anna works within any given setting, using available lighting and natural backdrops to achieve her final image. Her simple yet striking compositions, use of vivid colours and quietly observant style combine to create savvy yet sophisticated images that reflect a strong sense of people and place.

Anna's recent work includes a series of travel images taken in Europe, Canada and the United States. A large number of these images were taken in France, where Anna spent seven months exploring the stereotypes and subtleties of modern-day French life.

Anna has an extensive library of photographs in 35mm slide format from around the world including images taken in Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia, Canada and the United States.
